She went to Appalachian State in Boone, NC, and spent countless weekends exploring the winding roads, dreamy overlooks, and peaceful hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
So when Josh told me he wanted to propose in the mountains near Boone, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect backdrop.

After that, we’d continue the session as a newly engaged couple, soaking up that magic during golden hour.

After going over location options, we landed on a hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway that offered incredible views, easy access, and a secluded feel. Early spring in the North Carolina mountains means cool, crisp air, soft new greenery, and that signature golden glow as the sun dips below the ridgelines. The Session: Sunset Light and Pure Emotion
The day of the proposal couldn’t have been more beautiful. Mild temperatures, a light breeze, and that golden spring sunlight pouring through the trees—truly mountain weather at its best.
