Hello, I’m Ashley Foreman Logan, your North Carolina wedding and portrait photographer.
My passion for the arts began in childhood, heavily influenced by dance and various art classes. My interest in photography blossomed in middle school, thanks to my late grandfather, Ken. He brought his camera to all my dance performances, and I loved learning from him. After his passing, I was gifted his camera, now proudly displayed on a shelf in my living room.
After high school, I moved to NYC with dreams of working in showbiz. While I initially didn’t consider photography as a career, my time at a talent agency and studying at Pace University made me realize the fast-paced city life wasn’t for me. Missing the slower pace of small-town living, I returned to Roxboro, NC, after a year.
While enrolled at a local community college, a campus tour of Appalachian State University with my sister, Emiley, changed my perspective. The stunning images taken by students in the commercial photography department inspired me to pursue photography professionally. I transferred to Appalachian State in January 2018 and launched Ashley Foreman Productions.
During my senior year, I met my husband, Abram, on Bumble. Despite our rival sports affiliations—his profile declared, “No one is a bigger Tarheel fan than I am,” to which I responded, “Go Duke!”—we hit it off and married in November 2021. We now have a baby boy, Emrys, and a sweet dog, Lucy.
In my sixth year of business, I feel blessed to do what I love—capturing life’s special moments. Each year gets better, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
