Jackie and Zach’s wedding at Overlook Barn in Banner Elk, North Carolina, was a picture-perfect celebration. The warm spring day offered ideal weather, with clear skies that highlighted the stunning panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The soft blues chosen for the wedding decor complemented the natural beauty of the location and harmonized seamlessly with the vibrant colors of the floral arrangements.
Personal touches were evident throughout the event, reflecting Jackie and Zach’s unique style and love for each other. One of the most heartwarming elements was the inclusion of their beloved dog, Rivers, who played a special role in their wedding day, adding an extra layer of joy and meaning to the occasion.

Our Favorite Moment
The highlight of this event was undoubtedly the custom details, each small touch contributing to a memorable and unique experience. One standout feature was the presence of a live wedding painter from Almond Tree Art, who captured a moment from the ceremony, providing a delightful visual element for guests to enjoy. As they watched the artist at work, guests sipped from custom-made cups decorated with a drawing of the couple’s dog, Rivers, along with details about the wedding day. The couple’s shared history was celebrated with Appalachian State’s black and gold colors waving as pom-poms during their grand entrance into the reception, a nod to their college days. Adding to the personalized touches, the bride wore customized Golden Goose shoes, featuring their wedding date and the phrase “Roll Neers,” blending elegance with a playful homage to their alma mater. These thoughtful details not only made the day special for Jackie and Zach but also left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
